Religious Education

We offer a choice of options for the formation of our children to accommodate your family schedule and the learning needs of different children

Traditional

CCD

CCD (Confraternity of Christian Doctrine) is a traditional classroom
based form of Catholic religious education. Classes for children from
PreK (4yr. old only) through Grade 4 are Monday evenings from
6:15pm-7:45pm. Grades 5 through 8 meet on Tuesday evenings from
6:15pm-7:45pm. Sessions begin in the Church and continue in the
School.

Family

Catechesis

Family Catechesis is a model of faith formation that engages the whole
family in learning about the faith. Families join us for Mass at
Assumption followed by a teaching session for parents and for children
one Sunday a month. Additional family based activities occur
occasionally throughout the year. Lessons for the rest of the month are
completed as a family at home. A yearly family project continues
throughout the year and is shared at our final gathering. Supplemental
material for sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation, First
Communion, and Confirmation is also provided when appropriate.
